Fullerton Defeats Saddleback in Overtime
Prescott Hill scored on a 24-yard run in the third overtime to give Fullerton a 58-52 victory over Saddleback in a Mission Conference football game Saturday at Saddleback.
Frankie Salazar’s interception at Fullerton’s four-yard line stopped Saddleback’s final possession, which was followed by Hill’s winning touchdown.
Hill scored two of his four touchdowns in the fourth quarter. His nine-yard run tied the score with 2:32 left in regulation, 42-42, and sent the game to overtime.
Kevin Rodriguez completed 17 of 34 passed for 259 yards to lead Fullerton (3-5, 2-1), which trailed 35-14 after three quarters.
Nick Tomasello completed 11 of 18 for 259 yards and Julio Peraza rushed for 199 yards in 31 carries for Saddleback (1-7, 1-2).
