Ventura 44, Santa Barbara 18--Travis Rogers and Maurice Atwood combined for 375 rushing yards and four touchdowns for Ventura (6-2, 2-2) in a WSC Northern Division game at Santa Barbara.
Rogers, who ranks third in the state with 1,159 rushing yards, had 211 yards and one touchdown in 29 carries.
Atwood rushed 13 times for 164 yards and scored on runs of one, three and 55 yards.
Rogers gave Ventura a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter on a 22-yard run. He made it 21-0 on a 12-yard touchdown reception from Brian Shubin midway through the second quarter.
Atwood put the game away with a 55-yard scoring run late in the third quarter for a 34-12 advantage.
Ventura outgained Santa Barbara, 538-332, with 413 of those yards coming on the ground.
Josh Turner caught five passes for 101 yards and one touchdown for the Vaqueros (0-8, 0-4).
