Prop. A

Share

County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky used the subway as a scapegoat for promoting Prop. A. Yet the MTA board, which was responsible for the out-of-control costs and the $7-billion debt, comes out of Prop. A’s passing unscathed. They are rewarded by making appointments to the oversight committee. Yaroslavsky may try for all the reform he wishes, but he is still an MTA board member and a political insider. He is also 1/13th responsible for the MTA’s problems.
