LAGUNA NIGUEL
The Planning Commission approved scaled-back plans for the expansion of St. Anne School this week, over the objections of some residents. The two new buildings will now be farther back from Bear Brand Road, with a nonfunctional bell tower. A smaller electronic reader board also was approved. The two new buildings will still accommodate growth for 772 students by 2000; 545 students currently are enrolled.
