Residents can help feed the area’s homeless and hungry by participating Sunday in the Episcopal Service Alliance’s ninth annual 5K Hunger Walk.
Organizers said their goal is to have 400 walkers and raise $10,000. Proceeds from the race will provide food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas to local families in need.
The race will include routes along Avenida del Mar, El Camino Real, El Portal and Avenida Victoria. For registration or information, call: (949) 498-8211 or the Rev. Bruce Warner of Palisades United Methodist Church at (949) 496-5502. Registration for the race is free, but racers are asked to raise money through sponsorships.
