Reeve Makes Acting Comeback in Remake of ‘Rear Window’
Christopher Reeve returns to acting in a TV movie this weekend while HBO presents a lavish new biopic of Walter Winchell and CBS offers a new “Hallmark Hall of Fame” production about raising a family.
In “Rear Window,” Sunday at 9 p.m. on ABC, Reeve appears in his first starring role since his 1995 equestrian accident. In this retelling of the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock classic, he plays a quadriplegic who believes he has witnessed a murder in the apartment across the alley. Daryl Hannah and Robert Forster also star.
Stanley Tucci plays the infamous gossip columnist in Paul Mazursky’s film “Winchell,” Saturday at 8 p.m. on HBO. Paul Giamatti and Glenne Headley also appear.
The latest “Hallmark Hall of Fame” drama is “Saint Maybe,” Sunday at 9 p.m. on CBS. Thomas McCarthy, Mary-Louise Parker, Blythe Danner and Edward Hermann star in this adaptation of Anne Tyler’s novel about a young man who decides to raise his brother’s family alone.
Timothy Busfield stars in “Dream House,” a UPN thriller about a household computer system that has a major glitch, tonight at 8 on KCOP.
Tim Matheson and Carol Alt star in the Fox Family Channel suspense drama “Catch Me If You Can,” Sunday at 8 p.m.
Richard Thomas headlines “Big and Hairy,” a Showtime family fantasy about a little boy who finds himself with the help of a young Sasquatch, Sunday at 8 p.m.
