Licensing Deal for CardioVascular Dynamics
- Share via
CardioVascular Dynamics Inc., the Irvine developer of devices used in treating clogged vessels, said it has completed the transfer of certain technology to Indianapolis-based Guidant Corp.
Under a licensing agreement in June, Guidant received exclusive North American rights to market one of its own devices along with a tiny balloon, used to dilate blocked vessels, that the Irvine company developed.
Terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed. However, CardioVascular Dynamics said it has already received $3 million and expects future royalties.
