Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating three suspects in a home invasion robbery last month in which a woman was shot in front of her 16-year-old daughter.

The robbery occurred Oct. 27 in an apartment in the 20400 block of Cohasset Street.

Two men broke through a screen door about 7:30 p.m. and demanded money. One of the assailants became upset when the woman refused and shot the 35-year-old mother in the neck, police said. Seriously injured, the woman survived.

The robbers ransacked the apartment and escaped with $4,000, police said.

One suspect, sketched by a police artist based on descriptions by witnesses, is a male Latino with a dark complexion, between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 200 to 225 pounds.

The second suspect is a male Latino with a light complexion, between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing between 160 and 200 pounds. Both suspects were dressed in “gang attire,” witnesses told police. During the robbery, the victims noticed someone waiting for the two men.

She is described as white or Latina, between 16 and 20 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and about 150 pounds. She was wearing baggy blue jeans, a black short-sleeved shirt and black tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Joel Price or Det. Kevin O’Conner at the LAPD’s West Valley anti-gang unit at (818) 756-9141.
