GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS

* Damar Construction in Goleta has been awarded a $620,593 contract from Ventura County to clean out the Fagan Debris Basin in Santa Paula. The project, just north of the Santa Paula Street and Cemetery Road intersection, involves the removal and disposal of debris and silt that collected during last winter’s storms.

The project is to be completed Jan. 6.

Damar Construction has also been awarded a $332,899 contract from Ventura County to clean out the Jepson Debris Basin in Fillmore. The project, just north of the Sycamore Road and Oak Avenue intersection, involves a similar cleanup of debris and silt.

That project is to be finished Jan. 13.

Greg J. Harris Construction in Corona has been awarded a $493,236 contract from Ventura County to clean out the Adams Debris Basin in Santa Paula. The project, near Foothill and Adams Canyon roads, also involves cleanup from last winter’s storms.

It is to be completed Feb. 4.

S. Bennett Construction in Fillmore has been awarded a $332,173 contract from Ventura County to clean out the Warring Debris Basin in Piru. This winter debris and silt cleanup project will occur just north of the Center Street and Warring Canyon Road intersection.

It is to be completed Jan. 13.

Burns Pacific Construction in Thousand Oaks has been awarded a $171,281 contract from Ventura County to clean out the Coyote Debris Basin in Somis. This project, another winter silt and debris cleanup, will take place just north of Highway 118 and adjacent to Donlon Road.

It is to be finished Dec. 28.

Kavlico Corp. of Moorpark won a $95,095 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, for aircraft components.

Key Group Inc. of Fillmore won a $669,692 contract from the Navy in Port Hueneme for audio-visual services and support.

Metric Construction Co. of Thousand Oaks won a $6.1-million contract from the Army Corps of Engineers in Los Angeles for construction services.

Rockwell Science Center of Thousand Oaks won a $331,527 contract from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio for research and development.
