When the Detroit Red Wings stopped at a fast-food restaurant while riding the bus from Calgary to Edmonton last week, Coach Scotty Bowman could have bought burgers for everyone--and then some. He’s the second-highest paid coach in the NHL, according to figures obtained by the Hockey News (all in U.S. dollars):
