Two Second-Half Goals Give SCC a Victory
Southern California College posted its first conference victory this season by defeating Cal Baptist, 3-1, in a Golden State Athletic Conference men’s soccer game Tuesday at SCC.
SCC (6-7, 1-2 in conference) scored two second-half goals, breaking a 1-1 halftime tie when Diego Goni scored his ninth goal in the 65th minute.
Cal Baptist is 2-7-4, 0-3.
In another conference game:
Azusa Pacific 2, Concordia 0--Matt Evans and Peter McGovern scored for visiting Azusa Pacific (8-3-1, 1-2), ranked 22nd in the NAIA. Concordia is 1-11-1, 0-3.
In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s volleyball:
Westmont 3, Southern California College 0--Megan Godfrey had seven kills and 10 digs for Southern California College (5-8, 1-5), which lost, 16-14, 15-7, 15-8.
In nonconference women’s volleyball:
Concordia 3, Hope International 0--Sarah Roberts had 13 digs for host Concordia (13-7), which defeated Hope International, formerly called Pacific Christian, 15-2, 15-7, 15-13.
