SCC Falls to Azusa in Women’s Soccer

Melissa Myers and Celeste Mitchell scored in the eighth and ninth minute as Azusa Pacific defeated Southern California College, 2-1, in Golden State Athletic Conference women’s soccer Wednesday at Azusa Pacific.
Fifth-ranked Azusa Pacific (11-0, 2-0), is off to its best start in the program’s history.
Annie Jacobs scored the only goal for 12th-ranked SCC (7-2-2, 1-1) and Jessica Lubman had eight saves.
In a nonconference game:
Hope International 1, Concordia 1--After a scoreless first half, Yolando Lozano scored for visiting Concordia. Jana Eichman tied the score for Hope International, formerly called Pacific Christian.
