Volunteers Sought to Crack Down on Code Violators

Share

With only two full-time code enforcement officers, La Puente City Hall is seeking to enlist the public’s help in cracking down on blight and unlicensed businesses.

The city wants to hire five to 10 reserve enforcement officers to seek out code violators. La Puente has more than 300 code enforcement cases that need action, city officials said.

Each reserve officer will get a uniform, badge and attend special training. In return for 20 hours of work a month, they will receive a $50 stipend, city officials said.
