All in the family: Crespi and Notre Dame are scheduled to play their annual rivalry game next week at Crespi. Let the trash talk begin.

Crespi Principal David Doyle, a former Notre Dame principal, is married to the sister of Notre Dame assistant coach Jeff Kraemer’s wife.

“The rivalry is so intense that our wives won’t talk for months,” Kraemer said.

No word yet if the wife on the losing side will have to make Thanksgiving dinner.

Enemy territory: Now that Moorpark High has joined the Marmonte League, the Musketeers have gained an instant rival in Royal.

The campuses are just a few minutes apart. Royal Coach Gene Uebelhardt lives in Moorpark.

“When Uebelhardt went to the market this morning, he was wearing his Royal jacket,” Royal Athletic Director Terry Dobbins said. “Three women almost assaulted him.”
