A woman suspected in the shooting death of her former roommate in Topanga Canyon has been arrested on unrelated theft charges, but has not been charged in the slaying, authorities said Friday.
Christina Marie White, 32, was arrested late Thursday in Palmdale, said Deputy Larry Stinson of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators have been seeking to interview White in connection with the slaying of 29-year-old Peter Paul, a construction company owner and aspiring actor.
Paul’s body was found Sept. 31 in a shallow grave in Topanga Canyon behind the home he once shared with White.
White, who authorities say has used the aliases Timi Vaughn and Tia Williams, was also being sought on a warrant stemming from the alleged theft of $800,000 from two former employers.
She was booked on suspicion of embezzlement at the sheriff’s Pico Rivera station.
