El Camino Real 29, Cleveland 20--DeAngelo Nedd powered the Conquistadors (4-2-1, 3-1) to victory with 141 rushing yards in 16 carries and scored on runs of 29 and one yard in the first night game with permanent lights at El Camino Real.
Nedd connected with Kevin Eggum on a 33-yard touchdown pass on a halfback-option play late in the second quarter.
Eddie Whitaker completed nine of 16 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns for Cleveland (1-6, 0-4). Whitaker connected with Tony Cicero on a 38-yard scoring pass play in the second quarter and with Andre McIntosh for a 40-yard touchdown in the third quarter to gave Cleveland a 20-16 lead.
Nedd scored on a one-yard run on the Conquistadores’ next possession.
Jonathan Graham connected with his twin, Justin, on a 29-yard touchdown play for El Camino Real late in the game. Jonathan Graham completed six of seven passes for 82 yards.
