Camarillo 18, San Marcos 13--The Scorpions marched 70 yards in 12 plays after recovering a fumble and scored the winning touchdown on a one-yard run by Garrett Valencia with 2:58 remaining in a nonleague game at Camarillo.

The Royals (5-2) threatened to rally, driving to the Camarillo two-yard line, but were held off when Joe Barker recovered a fumble with 43 seconds remaining.

Camarillo (5-2) scored its first touchdown on an eight-yard pass from Valencia to Gary Bryce. The Scorpions took a 12-7 lead in the third quarter on a 24-yard pass from Valencia to Omar Contreras.

Gregory Roundtree rushed for 78 yards in 14 carries for Camarillo. The Scorpion defense held highly regarded quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt to only 94 yards passing.

Valencia completed eight of 12 for 65 yards.
