Back-to-School Clothes

Re “Going Back in Style,” Aug. 26.

I am a junior at Cleveland Humanities magnet, and I would like to respond to my class president’s very shallow outlook on first-day school attire. I’ve never worn any of those labels (Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Nautica, Perry Ellis) in my life, neither do my friends or many other students, and we have never received an ounce of ridicule from anybody. In my experience, what you wear has never defined who you are.
