5th Walk for Peace Planned Next Week

Hundreds of people, including members of church, youth and community groups, will pound the pavement for peace a week from Saturday.
The fifth annual Walk for Peace is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sept. 19 at Triangle Square, where Harbor and Newport boulevards meet. The event is designed to promote peace in local communities and around the world.
The free event is organized by the Newport Mesa Irvine Interfaith Council, Baha’is of Orange County, the NAACP, Amnesty International and other groups. Information: (949) 660-8665.
