David A. Alvarado; USC Housing Manager
Ventura native David Andrew Alvarado died in Los Angeles on Saturday. He was 28.
Alvarado was born July 23, 1970, in Ventura. He attended Ventura High School, Ventura College and graduated from UC Santa Cruz.
For the past two years, Alvarado worked as a housing manager for USC, his family said. Alvarado enjoyed playing several sports.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Alvarado of Ventura; an uncle and two aunts, also of Ventura.
A visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. today at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura. A rosary will be said at 3 p.m. today. Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at San Buenaventura Mission in Ventura with interment to follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
