A group of four or five men robbed a bar at gunpoint early Tuesday, stealing money from the cash register, patrons and a piano player and striking one man with a bar stool, police said.

Investigators said the robbery at the White Oak Inn in the 17700 block of Saticoy Street was the fourth in a series of San Fernando Valley bar holdups.

The gunmen entered the bar at 1:45 a.m. and stole money, jewelry and musical instruments, LAPD Sgt. Willie Guerrero said.

“They even took money from the musicians,” Guerrero said. “Now that’s cold.”

A man was hit with a bar stool, but was not hospitalized, police said.

Other bars believed to have been robbed by the group include the Copper Bucket Draft on Vanowen Street last Wednesday, the Jolly Sailor on Sherman Way on Sept. 13, and Instant Replay on Saticoy Street on Aug. 26, according to detectives.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division is investigating the robberies.
