Texas A&M; Has to Forfeit Victory
Texas A&M; has forfeited its 28-7 victory over Louisiana Tech because running back D’Andre Hardeman was academically ineligible. Hardeman, the Aggies’ top running back, also was declared ineligible for the season, Athletic Director Wally Groff said. . . . Boston College running back Quinton Lee was suspended from school after being charged with assaulting a police officer early Sunday morning, the school said. Lee, who has rushed for 138 yards in three games, can’t attend classes or live in the dormitories under the terms of the suspension. He also was suspended indefinitely from the football team. . . . Ohio State fullback Sean Penny is out for the season because of a fractured vertebrae.
