Angel Fan No Fan of Pucin’s Column

Diane Pucin’s Sept. 22 column certainly went out of its way to insult fans of the Anaheim Angels.
Monday night’s games against the Rangers drew 33,000, which translates into a probable 100,000 ticket holders for the three-game set.
To have an imported sportswriter from “Philly” tell us what poor fans we are is disgusting.
You had to add a punch line by interviewing a Texas football fan in order to throw a little more dirt on Angel baseball fans.
I have been an Angel fan since 1943, Pacific Coast League and American League, and truly resent these out-of-towners telling us how to watch baseball.
The fans in our section were far from “sedate,” cheering our team through the entire game. Phooey on sports columnists. Do we really need them?
