League Design House Open Until Nov. 1

A Tudor-style Hancock Park home overlooking the Wilshire Country Club will be open Tuesday through Sunday, this week through Nov. 1, as this year’s Design House of the Assistance League of Southern California.
Built in 1938 and designed by architect Gerard R. Colcord, the house will feature the work of several interior designers along with lunch, tea and boutiques in outdoor areas.
Designer workshops are being given Tuesdays through Thursdays, Oct. 6-29, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The house will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with complimentary parking and shuttle service from the Farmers Market on Genesee Avenue off 3rd Street. Tickets are $17 each. Reservations are not required.
