Cal Lutheran University will open an off-campus graduate center near the Ventura County Government Center in late November, school officials have announced.

The new campus is scheduled to open Nov. 23 at the Center Promenade at 1001 Partridge St.

It will include six classrooms, a computer lab, student lounge and three offices, school officials said.

“We are pleased Cal Lutheran has chosen Ventura as the location to open a graduate center, making higher education more accessible to Ventura residents,” Ventura Mayor Jim Friedman said.

Classes needed for a master’s degree in business administration will start Nov. 23, and all other graduate, adult and business-related and professional development courses and certificate courses will begin Jan. 19.

“With the cooperation and support we received from the city of Ventura and the interest expressed from prospective students, we feel very welcome,” said DeAnne Taylor, Cal Lutheran’s director of graduate and adult programs.
