Share

Everyone’s heard about the swallows of San Juan Capistrano, but have you ever heard about them in the San Fernando Valley?

To celebrate the swallows’ migration to the Valley, the public is invited Saturday to the Japanese Garden, in the Sepulveda Dam Recreation Area.

Visitors will also be able to tour the nearby Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant, said garden coordinator Betty Ethridge.

Guides will provide information about the 6 1/2-acre Japanese garden, and refreshments will be served, Ethridge said.

Admission to the garden at 6100 Woodley Ave. is $3. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information, call (818) 756-8166.
