HUNTINGTON BEACH
Twenty-one Marina High School students were pulled out of their classrooms by the Grim Reaper last week as police officers read the students’ obituaries to their classmates. It was all part of the Police Department’s “Every 15 Minutes” program, in which students witness a simulated drunk-driving accident and experience how it feels to lose a classmate to an alcohol-related tragedy. The program, in its third year, was established by the Police Department and is sponsored by several businesses.
