The City Council tonight will consider giving final approval to a law that regulates the height of trees and shrubs between Alicia Parkway and Lake Mission Viejo. The revised ordinance, prompted by a lawsuit filed by the Lake Mission Viejo Assn., aims to preserve public views of the lake from the roadway. The law will limit to 18 inches the height of landscaping along an 800-foot stretch of sloped land next to the parkway. Trees and shrubs will be allowed to remain. The council meets at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 25909 Pala.
