LAGUNA BEACH
Fifth District Supervisor Tom Wilson told more than 150 environmental activists this week that he supports a controversial toll road that would pave over open space in South County. In a meeting with the Laguna Canyon Conservancy group, Wilson cautioned that while he does not favor unrestricted growth, he does support the Foothill South Toll Road because many studies show that the area’s traffic congestion is expected to worsen.
