Dumitru Gets Goal, Assist as San Diego Beats Zodiac

Mugurel Dumitru had a goal and an assist to help the San Diego Flash defeat the Zodiac, 2-1, in an A-League soccer game Saturday in front of 3,726 in San Diego.

Chugger Adair scored in the 75th minute off an assist from Dumitru to break a 1-1 tie for the Flash (1-1), which outshot the Zodiac, 17-10.

The Zodiac (1-1) took a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick by Eddie Soto in the 17th minute. But in the 29th minute, the Zodiac’s Mark Foster was ejected, forcing Orange County to play a man down.

Dumitru scored in the 37th minute off an assist from Antonio Robles to tie it, 1-1.
