The City Council on Tuesday is expected to discuss turning part of the community center and sports complex into a learning and technology room operated by the Orange County Public Library. Council members are expected to direct staff to negotiate a service contract with the county to open a technology branch of the public library by fall 2000, officials said. The proposed facility would house 20 to 30 computers with Interet access. Operating costs are estimated at about $150,000, including library staff, if the branch was open five or six days a week. The council meets at 7 p.m. in City Hall, 25201 Paseo De Alicia. Information: (949) 707-2600.
