PLACENTIA
The life of Biddy Mason, a slave by birth who later became one of the richest women in Los Angeles, will be chronicled at 7:30 p.m. today at the Placentia Library, 411 E. Chapman Ave. The event is part of National Library Week and a salute to California’s 150 years of statehood. Mason will be portrayed by Sandra Kamusikiri, chairwoman of the English department at Cal State San Bernardino. Information: (714) 528-1906.
