Some Beaches to Open for Swimming on Weekends

Beaches at Castaic Lake Recreation Area will be open for swimming on weekends, starting Saturday, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
Swimming will be allowed only at beaches with lifeguards, who will be stationed on the west side of the lagoon, officials said. Weekend hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The recreation area will be open on weekdays starting June 19.
