Cal State Fullerton faculty, staff and students will be busy the next few weeks collecting food and diapers, cleaning up graffiti and building houses. These projects are part of the university’s efforts to encourage volunteer work, an idea based on a national initiative called “Into the Streets.” Projects include a drive to collect food, diapers and household items from Thursday to April 24. A beach cleanup is scheduled for Sunday at the Bolsa Chica wetlands. And a graffiti “wipe out” is set for Sunday and April 24 in Fullerton. Other organizations that need help include Orangewood Children’s Home, Habitat for Humanity and the Orange County Animal Shelter. To volunteer or for more information: (714) 278-3211.
