The City Council on Wednesday voted to make it easier for more residents to qualify for the city’s first-time home buyer and housing rehabilitation programs.
Council members unanimously approved increasing the maximum household income allowed to qualify for the two loans. The city will now use the higher county median income instead of the national median income to determine who is eligible. A family of four, for example, earning $54,650 could qualify, up from the previous $47,800. Information: (714) 562-3585.
