Police Seek Help Finding Mentally Disabled Man
Los Angeles police are seeking the public’s help in locating a mentally disabled man who has been missing since Saturday.
Carmelo Vicente Cocom was last seen at a party at 13599 Weidner St., about two doors down from his home, police and family members said.
Cocom, 26, has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old, said Det. Christine Beltran of the LAPD’s missing persons unit. Cocom does not speak English and his native Spanish is difficult to understand, Beltran said.
Cocom is 5-foot-2 and weighs 155 pounds. His head tilts to the side, and he walks with a limp.
Anyone with information is asked to call Beltran at (213) 485-5381.
