Los Angeles Police Chief Bernard C. Parks will speak to the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn. tonight about crime rates, the number of officers on the streets and other law enforcement issues.

Another subject to be discussed is the restructuring of the senior lead officer program, in which citizens contact a specific officer about problems in their neighborhood.

“A lot of people are concerned about the restructuring of the program and want to know how they should work with the Police Department,” said association president Richard H. Close.
