Man’s Body Found in Parking Lot at Carwash

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Tuesday in a carwash parking lot, a Los Angeles sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
The body of Jose Alberto Avila, 35, was discovered at 7 a.m. at the rear of Al’ Car Wash at 322 N. Sunset Ave., Deputy Margarita Velazquez said. The cause of death was blunt trauma to the body, she said.
It is unknown if the crime was gang-related, Velazquez said. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests had been made.
