The Shadetree Partnership, a community-based volunteer organization dedicated to improving communities through the planting of trees, welcomes the public to help plant trees in the Northwood area at 9 a.m. Saturday to mark Earth Day. During the event, sponsored by the Irvine Ranch Water District, trees will be planted along bike paths and bridle trails. Participants are asked to bring gloves and shovels, if possible. To reach the site, take Interstate 5 and exit on Culver Drive. From there, head north to Meadowood and make a right. Follow signs from there. Information: (949) 453-5806.
