4 Fugitives Wanted for Failure to Appear in Court

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating four fugitives wanted for failing to appear for court dates.

Sergio Ortega Mendez, also known as Sergio Mendez Ortega, 34, was arrested by the Oxnard Police Department on suspicion of possessing marijuana and transporting it for sale. He posted bail but failed to appear in court, authorities said.

Mendez has worked in automotive sales and was last known to have lived on Pleasant Valley Road in Oxnard.

He is Latino, 5 feet 6, 180 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. “Sergio” is tattooed on his left arm.

Charles Abbott Long, also known as Donald Ryan Long, was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving. He was released from jail on his own recognizance but failed to appear in court, authorities said.

His last-known address was at his parents’ home in the 31000 block of Kingspark Court in Westlake Village.

Long is white, 6 feet, 165 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes. He has given authorities two birth dates that make him either 54 or 46.

Sergio Peralta was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs and released from jail on his own recognizance. He was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and again released on his own recognizance.

He has failed to appear for court dates in either case, authorities said.

Peralta is Latino, 5 feet 5, 140 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He last lived in the 1800 block of Ives Avenue in Oxnard. He has given police two birth dates that make him either 22 or 23.

Ross Russell Hudson, 36, was arrested in Camarillo for allegedly possessing and being under the influence of drugs.

He was released from jail on his own recognizance but failed to appear in court, authorities said.

His last known address was in the 1000 block of East Rosewood Avenue in Camarillo.

Hudson is white, 5 feet 8, 190 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes.
