Titans Beat Santa Barbara in Baseball

A nine-run sixth inning put Cal State Fullerton in complete control as the Titans won their seventh in a row with a 15-1 rout of UC Santa Barbara in Big West Conference baseball Sunday.

Robert Guzman knocked in the first runs of the sixth inning with a two-run double. A three-run homer by Reed Johnson and a two-run home run by Chris Beck followed in the inning.

Titan Shawn Norris added two hits and four RBIs in the game.

Matt Sorensen, who came in to relieve Jon Smith in the third inning, picked up his ninth victory. He had two strikeouts and six hits in five innings. David Uris (5-5) got the loss.

The first-place Titans are 37-8, 19-2 in conference. UC Santa Barbara dropped to 22-21, 9-12.
