Nesby Now Seems a Priority

Signing rookie Tyrone Nesby for more than one season was not a training camp priority for the Clippers. But now that Nesby has worked his way into the starting lineup , the Clippers are going to have re-sign him during the off-season.
“If they want me here, I would love to stay here,” said Nesby, who has averaged nearly 12 points in 30 starts this season. “If we sit down and agree to negotiate what we’re going to do, I’ll do that. But right now, I’m not really thinking about that. I’m just trying to end the season on a positive note.”
After not being drafted out of Nevada Las Vegas, Nesby has even exceeded his own expectations.
“It’s been a pretty good year,” Nesby said. “I kind of got adjusted a little bit quicker [to the NBA] than what I thought I would. I wouldn’t say that I know the whole game now, but I know a little and I’ve been playing pretty good.”
