LAGUNA NIGUEL
The Planning Commission on Tuesday voted for the second time against urging the City Council to look into a view preservation ordinance. The decision echoed the commission’s 1998 determination that a citywide ordinance is not necessary for maintaining views from residential properties. The matter was reopened after residents without active homeowners associations requested that the issue be reexamined. The item is expected to come before the City Council for a final decision at its May 18 or June 1 meeting.
