Influential Golden Rain Foundation board member George McInnis announced his resignation at the end of a meeting Tuesday. McInnis, 83, praised his fellow board members for their professionalism, but said he would step down Nov. 9 because he was discouraged by what he believes are apathetic Leisure World residents. “I love Leisure World, but I’m worn out,” he said, addressing the cameras telecasting the meeting on Channel 6. “Not by my efforts, but by your apathy. I’m talking to everyone out there in our TV audience.”
