Police said a man who ran out of a Bank America branch he had just robbed was seen entering a car that had a “For Sale” sign in its side window. None of the witnesses, however, could identify a phone number on the sign.

The robbery took place shortly after 12:35 p.m. in the 2700 block of Harbor Boulevard. The man was standing in line before he approached a teller and handed her a note, police said. The note demanded money and the bank employee complied, giving the man an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man ran into the parking lot and sped away in an early ‘90s, teal green Ford Escort. The suspect is described as an African American in his early 20s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. He has dark eyes and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing black pants, a light-colored shirt and a dark fishing cap.
