Oxnard Board Meeting Monday to Address New School Plans
Oxnard Union High School District trustees will hold a special public meeting Monday night at Camarillo City Hall to discuss plans for a new high school.
The 7 p.m. session will focus on funding and selection of a site.
“You gotta go through all the hoops that the county and city lay down for you and that’s what we will talk about,” trustee Steve Stocks said.
The meeting will include an opportunity for residents to ask questions. The session will be held in the council chambers, 601 Carmen Drive.
Stocks said a new school in Camarillo is needed because the district lacks adequate space and buildings at its five comprehensive high schools in Oxnard, Camarillo and Port Hueneme.
A sixth high school in the district is now under construction on Gonzales Road in Oxnard.
