* I find it impossible to believe that something like this is placed in the paper as a news story: “Right Makes Might In Antelope Valley Politics,” Nov. 21.

At best this is a biased editorial. May I quote a few key words?

“Old-guard Republicans,” “anti-diversity,” “pro-school prayer,” “well-organized network of church groups and . . . Republican businessmen.”

Also, in regard to Kevin W. Carney: “elected four days after he was arrested.” The key word is “suspension,” or do you feel he is guilty until proven innocent?

“The influx of blacks and Latinos hasn’t helped dilute the power of old-guard Republicans.” I suspect the thought that some might just vote Republican would never enter the writer’s mind.

I will, however, feel much better when I read your story next week, “Old Left-Wing Socialists Rule People’s Republic of Santa Monica.” Please use a few of the appropriate terms, such as “ACLU lackey,” “pinko,” “Communist,” “anti-business,” “share the wealth,” etc.
