In the second such restaurant heist in recent days, a steakhouse was robbed after business hours early Sunday morning.

Two employees of the Outback Steakhouse on Lockwood Drive were leaving the business shortly after midnight when they were confronted by two men with guns, Oxnard police said.

The gunmen, who wore ski masks, ordered the employees at gunpoint back inside the restaurant. The men then tied up the employees, along with three others who were still inside.

The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash and left in one of the employees’ cars. The vehicle was later recovered a short distance from the steakhouse.

Police are investigating a possible connection to the robbery of a steakhouse in Ojai on Thursday, which also occurred after the close of business, said Sgt. Tim Lumas.

In the Ojai incident, an armed man confronted an employee who was leaving the Ranch House Restaurant and ordered him back inside. A second gunman followed them into the restaurant’s office. The employee and another worker were forced to the ground while the robbers took money from the cash register. The gunmen then fled on foot.
