Musical Theater Tony Award-winning actor John Rubinstein will star in Meredith Willson’s classic “The Music Man” at the Interact Theatre in North Hollywood for eight performances starting tonight. The show is a fund-raiser for the theater company’s efforts to build its new venue.

Blues
Two members of the internationally known blues band the Fabulous Thunderbirds--singer and harmonica player Kim Wilson and lead guitarist David “Kid” Ramos--will perform Friday night at Cozy’s in Sherman Oaks. Wilson, the last original member of the T-Birds, founded the band in Austin, Texas, in 1975 with guitarist Jimmie Vaughan, the elder brother of the late guitar wiz Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Nutcracker Ballet
The West Valley Ballet Company will return to Cal State Northridge with its annual holiday production of “The Nutcracker” beginning Friday for eight performances only. The company, which performs the English variation of the piece, is directed by Suzanne Haffamier, a former member of the San Francisco Ballet.

Celtic Music
The Raven Playhouse will host a Celtic holiday concert and winter solstice celebration featuring the Celtic band Craicmore, singer-harper Dinah LeHoven, musicians Clark Branson and Sean Fallon Walsh and the An Claidheamh Soluis Dancers, Saturday and Sunday at the Raven Playhouse in North Hollywood.
