* Jamilah Jones scored 11 points and LaShaunda Fowler added 10, but Cal State Northridge (4-2), which committed 30 turnovers, was outscoredby 24 points in the final 12:29 in an 81-55 nonconference loss to host University of San Diego.
Edniesha Curry was held to nine points on 4-of-13 shooting and fouled out.
The Matadors (4-2) shot 36% (21 of 56) and were called for 35 fouls to 17 for the Toreros (5-3).
TENNIS
* Twins Bob and Mike Bryan of Camarillo advanced to today’s doubles final of the $37,500 USTA Challenger tournament at Burbank Tennis Center with a 6-4, 7-6 victory over Adam Peterson and Jim Thomas.
The Bryans will play Cecil Mamiit and Scott Humphries, who defeated Michael Joyce and Kyle Spencer, 6-2, 6-3. Bob Bryan lost a singles semifinal to Alex O’Brien, 6-2, 6-4.
